James Bond Pic 'No Time To Die' Delays Release to Fall - Hollywood Reporter

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th installment in the iconic spy franchise returns Daniel Craig in the titular role. MGM, Eon Productions and Universal are backing the tentpole.

In early 2020, No Time to Die became the first Hollywood tentpole to become a casualty of the COVID-19 crisis when its original April 2020 release date was pushed back to November 2020 (it was subsequently pushed to April 2021).

The film — marking Daniel Craig’s final turn as 007 — also stars Bond returnees Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz, along with franchise newcomers Rami Malek, Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch. Billie Eilish has recorded the title track.

MGM is handling No Time to Die domestically via United Artists Releasing, while Universal has international distribution duties.

The are also partners on the Addams Family sequel, which had been set to open on Oct. 8. It is now scheduled for Oct. 1.

Universal separately made several other changes to its calendar, including pushing back Nobody from Feb. 26 to April 2021, and Edgar Wright's Focus Feature title Last Night in Soho from April 23 to Oct. 22.

The studio also announced the first release date for the Michael Bay-directed thriller Ambulance, which is set for Feb. 18, 2022.
