Watching Gal Gadot laugh and charm her way through various late-night U.S. talk shows in recent weeks, I kept wondering what the “Wonder Woman” star might say if a host slipped the Lasso of Truth around her and asked about her native land.
You could argue that the Rosh Ha’ayin-born actress, 35, is currently Israel’s greatest export: a former beauty queen who projects an aw-shucks, girl-next-door quality that does as much to normalize Israel globally as any quid pro quo deals with Arab states. Call it soft-focus power.
